Technology
What we use, and why it matters to you
Modern tools help us work more precisely and efficiently, which often means shorter appointments, less discomfort, and more conservative treatment that preserves your natural teeth.
What It Changes
Three differences you notice
Technology supports the care your dentist provides. It does not replace it.
Earlier diagnosis
Fewer visits
Less removed

Comfort
Sedation, if you need it
Anxiety about the dentist is common and it is worth saying so when you book. Three options are available here, and the right one depends on the treatment and on you.
Nitrous oxide
Oral sedation
IV sedation
Who Uses It
The equipment is only half of it
A scanner produces a file. Reading it, and deciding what should and should not be treated, is the part that takes training. Dr. Kourosh Yousefzadeh earned his D.D.S. at the USC Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry with high honors and has practiced for over two decades. Dr. Razmik Galustian is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a Misch Institute fellow, and teaches part-time on the USC periodontology faculty.
Safety
Less exposure, fewer trays
Some of what this equipment does is simply to take the unpleasant parts of a dental appointment out of it.
