Summary

Turn to Joy is looking for a preschool teacher-assistant for a small group of children at our center in Grand Isle.
We offer year childcare and preschool, 7:30 - 5:00. We strive to develop supportive relationships that foster growth and learning.

Duties

Duties include preparing materials for learning, participating in documentation and observation of student learning.
Supporting routines for lunch, rest and afternoon activities. Addressing behavioral issues and social-emotional learning.
Other responsibilities include : supporting play and social emotional learning, cleaning the classroom, preparing children's items to go home, and communication with the families at the end of the day.

Requirements

Positive attitude and someone who really enjoys children.
First Aid/CPR and All required trainings by Vermont's DCF.
Able to commit to 15 - 25 hours per week.

Nice To Haves

Experience & training in behavioral support.

Self-starter, interested in the early childhood career ladder.

An understanding of social-emotional development and early learning skills.

Strong communication skills, and the ability to ask for help and share ideas and concerns.
