Job Description

Safety Management Systems is searching for an experienced Sales Executive to drive sales revenue by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within our Medical Services Division. Our Medical Services Division provides on-site occupational and emergency medical staffing and training for companies with employees in remote or offshore locations. 

The primary focus of the Medical Sales Executive is to generate revenue by selling medical services, which include remote medical staffing, occupational health services, and related solutions to clients in the energy and industrial sectors. This position is based in Lafayette, La.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Selling comprehensive medical services, including onsite medical staffing and full-service medical clinics.

  • Promoting our offshore and onshore medical solutions to a diverse range of industries.

  • Identifying and researching potential clients within the target market, generating leads through various channels, and building a robust pipeline of prospects.

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and requirements and acting as the primary point of contact for addressing any concerns or inquiries.

  • Conducting thorough needs analysis and understanding clients’ pain points to effectively present and position the company’s service offerings as solutions to their business challenges.

  • Managing the sales cycle from initial contact to successful closure.

  • Effectively managing a designated sales territory or assigned accounts and organizing sales activities to maximize sales productivity and efficiency.

  • Staying informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities, anticipate customer needs, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.

  • Collaborating closely with internal teams such as operations, marketing, and support to ensure seamless communication and alignment of goals, providing feedback and insights from the client.

  • Accurately documenting sales activities, maintaining a comprehensive database of contacts, leads, and clients, and providing regular and accurate sales reports.

  • Keeping up to date with industry knowledge, healthcare regulations, market conditions, service enhancements, and sales techniques through ongoing training, attending conferences, and participating in professional development activities.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration or marketing preferred

  2. Energy, Construction, and/or other Industrial-targeted occupational medical sales experience preferred

  3. Oil and Gas and/or Occ Med experience a plus

  4. Ability to understand and communicate complex medical service offerings

  5. Sales Experience and/or previous experience in a relevant industry (Medical) required

  6. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and relationship-building skills

  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent organizational and presentation skills

  8. Experience with Google applications

  9. Experience with a CRM (i.e. Salesforce) a plus

  10. Ability to travel
