We’re seeking a Facilities Fire Protection Engineer to lead fire protection initiatives for a cutting-edge greenfield site in Peoria, AZ . This role will oversee design, construction, and operations to ensure that Fire Alarm Systems (FAS), Fire Protection Systems (FPS), and Hazardous Gas Monitoring Systems (HGMS) are always operational, meet code requirements, and protect both people and property.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Manage fire protection schedules for large-scale facility construction projects
✅ Ensure fire protection systems meet NFPA, AHJ, and insurance standards
✅ Develop maintenance plans, testing procedures, and fire drill protocols
✅ Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors on designs and retrofits
✅ Commission, operate, and maintain fire protection systems
✅ Inspect, maintain, and repair systems, identifying and resolving issues
✅ Interpret regulations and ensure compliance with codes
REQUIRED Qualifications:
🎓 Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
🔧 3+ years in fire protection facilities for operational buildings, suppression systems, alarms, and life safety
🌐 Experience in environmental facilities, semiconductor, or advanced manufacturing
📚 Strong knowledge of NFPA and ICC codes, plus fire protection laws
💡 Analytical, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills
⏰ Flexibility to work overtime or respond to emergencies as needed
🔍 Ability to read drawings, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
