Job Description

U.S. Finance is comprised of financial professionals who lead all aspects of all financial activity, including accounting, economics policy, business insights and analytics, and strategy and planning for McDonald’s USA, LLC. The Finance team provides thought leadership and measurable insights to support McDonald’s US business. We are seeking a Finance Supervisor to join our team.

The U.S. FP&A team specifically provides financial management, planning/budget support, and data reporting to Senior Management and multiple U.S. departments. The team interacts closely with the U.S. CFO and U.S. Controller for all U.S. financial results, projections and plan achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

This position provides an outstanding opportunity for an individual to participate in and learn about McDonald’s U.S. business. This role will develop the annual plan and quarterly projections, provide monthly financial analysis and reporting, as well as create actionable reporting to senior management. Within this role, the successful candidate will interact with various levels and teams throughout the U.S. business.

Responsibilities include:
  • Analysis and reporting of monthly financial information based on actual results for US Franchised Margin and Other Operating Income/Expense.
  • Assisting with the annual Plan and completing regular projections with a focus on Franchised Margin and Other Operating Income/Expense sections.
  • Preparing the annual Field Office Plans and monthly actual reporting.
  • Building and maintaining reports for internal partners.
  • Perform various monthly, quarterly and annual activities including but not limited to the review of balance sheet reconciliations, monitoring SOX disclosures, and preparing financial disclosures for the U.S. Standalone Financial Statements.
  • Proactively identify and implement efficiencies within financial processes.
  • Assist with various special projects and ad-hoc requests/reporting as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA a plus but not required.
  • 3+ years of Finance/Accounting experience or analytical/data intensive environment
  • Outstanding analytical abilities, communication, problem-solving, organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Strategic problem solver, possesses excellent leadership skills and ability to build strong relationships
  • Ability to express ideas effectively, both verbal and written
  • Takes initiative and demonstrates creativity in finding efficiencies
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills as well as having the desire and ability to quickly learn new software applications. Oracle and Hyperion a plus
