Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior SEO Manager to lead the evolution of Chime’s organic growth strategy within our Growth team. In this role, you’ll own and scale SEO across both traditional search engines and the rapidly shifting landscape of AI-powered discovery — driving acquisition through high-impact, content-led strategies. You’ll be the strategic driver of SEO initiatives that directly impact Chime’s bottom line. You’ll partner with the content team to build scalable systems and experiment boldly to keep Chime ahead of the curve in how people find and engage with our brand.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $130,050 and up to $180,600. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to

  • Own and evolve our SEO strategy and roadmap, balancing short-term optimizations with long-term organic growth bets.
  • Conduct deep SEO audits and translate insights into action, guiding the technical and content teams to improve performance.
  • Collaborate product and engineering to ensure SEO best practices are embedded into everything we build.
  • Lead execution of high-impact SEO initiatives — from technical improvements to editorial content development and AI-enhanced strategies.
  • Develop and maintain SEO governance and scalable playbooks, ensuring consistency across teams, partners, and platforms.
  • Monitor organic traffic, keyword trends, and competitor strategies to identify growth opportunities and drive data-informed experimentation.
  • Define KPIs and reporting structures to track SEO and AEO impact on acquisition, rankings, and revenue.

To thrive in this role, you have

  • A track record of scaling SEO-driven growth at a high-growth, product- or content-led company — B2C or B2B (e.g., DTC, marketplaces, SaaS, media). You’ve built or led strategies that moved the needle on acquisition and engagement.
  • Experience leading content-first SEO strategies, working with editorial teams and agencies to produce high-performing pages at scale.
  • Fluency with analytics tools (GA4, Looker, Search Console, etc.) and A/B testing frameworks to turn insights into action and impact .
  • Strong communication and leadership skills — you can rally cross-functional teams and drive alignment around SEO priorities.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered search and a forward-looking mindset about the evolution of organic discovery.

A little about us

At Chime, we believe that everyone can achieve financial progress. We created Chime—a financial technology company, not a bank*—on the premise that basic banking services should be helpful, transparent, and free. Through our user-friendly tools and intuitive platforms, we empower our members to take control of their finances and work towards their goals. Whether it's starting a savings account, purchasing a first car or home, launching a business, or pursuing higher education, we're proud to have helped millions unlock their financial potential.

We're a team of problem solvers, dreamers, and builders with one shared obsession: our members. We each bring an owner's mindset to our work, refusing to be outdone and holding ourselves accountable to meet and exceed the highest bars for our teams, our company, and our members.

We believe in being bold, dreaming big, and taking risks, while also working together, embracing our diverse perspectives, and giving each other honest feedback. Our culture remains deeply entrepreneurial, encouraging every Chimer to see themselves as stewards of our mission to help everyday Americans unlock their financial progress.

We know that to achieve our mission, we must earn and keep people's trust—so we hold ourselves to the highest standards of integrity in everything we do. These aren't just words on a wall—our values are embedded in every aspect of our business, serving as a north star that guides us as we work to help millions achieve their financial potential.

Because if we don't—who will?

  • Hybrid work perks like backup child, elder and/or pet care, as well as a subsidized commuter benefit
  • Competitive salary based on experience
