Position: Recruiting Manager

Company: Pen Pioneer LLC (Veteran-Owned Staffing & Recruiting Firm)

Location: Remote (with occasional travel for team development & client support)

Compensation: $80,000 – $100,000 base salary + Performance Bonus + Commission Override + Leadership Growth Path

As we continue to scale our national footprint, we are seeking a highly organized Recruiting Manager to lead and develop a team of recruiters and ensure delivery excellence.

Position Summary:

The Recruiting Manager will oversee a team of recruiters responsible for fulfilling client job orders across multiple industries and markets. This role is responsible for team performance, candidate quality, process management, and recruiting KPIs. The Recruiting Manager will work closely with sales, operations, and executive leadership to ensure clients receive high-caliber candidates on time, while also helping to develop recruiter skillsets and scale delivery capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management & Leadership

  • Manage day-to-day performance of a team of recruiters.
  • Conduct daily stand-ups, pipeline meetings, and performance check-ins.
  • Monitor recruiter KPIs: submittals, interviews, placements, and fill ratios.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and mentorship to recruiters.

Recruiting Operations

  • Oversee full-cycle recruiting processes across assigned accounts.
  • Ensure high-quality candidate sourcing, screening, and submission.
  • Manage recruiter workflow, job prioritization, and time-to-fill metrics.
  • Partner with sales to understand client needs and set delivery expectations.

Client Delivery & Relationship Support

  • Act as a client delivery lead when needed for key accounts.
  • Assist with client onboarding, intake calls, and position scoping.
  • Monitor candidate pipeline quality to ensure alignment with client needs.
  • Support resolution of delivery or client service issues.

Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Implement and enforce recruiting best practices and workflows.
  • Ensure accurate usage of ATS and CRM systems.
  • Provide weekly reports to leadership on recruiter productivity and pipeline health.
  • Collaborate with leadership to optimize recruiter capacity planning.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience; staffing agency experience required.
  • 2+ years of team leadership, mentorship, or management experience.
  • Deep understanding of recruiting workflows, sourcing, screening, and candidate management.
  • Strong knowledge of permanent placement, contract staffing, and/or RPO models.
  • Skilled in recruiter coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Strong communication and client service skills.
  • Familiarity with ATS/CRM systems (Bullhorn, CEIPAL, Greenhouse, or similar).
  • Veteran status or experience working with veteran-owned businesses is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 (DOE)
