No phlebotomy experience or certification required! Must be available to train full-time if little to no phlebotomy experience.
Duties include:
•Prepping & performing phlebotomy on children up to elderly patients
•Preparing samples for pickup
•Maintain appropriate supplies inventory
•Charting blood draws

Summary Uses equipment to collect samples of blood and other fluids from patients/residents; explains procedures to patients/residents and collects information from them in a professional manner.
Job Description Collects and manages samples of blood and specimens from patients/residents; ensures patient/resident safety during the sample collection process. Records and documents patient/resident information accurately. Follows all standard procedures and safety regulations; deploys asepsis techniques during phlebotomy procedures. Communicates with patients/residents, collecting their health information and answering their questions regarding phlebotomy procedures.
Qualifications High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) required.
Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
