Applicants with expertise/strong interest in technology-enabled approaches to enhancing informatics, healthcare delivery, and disease prevention and treatment in underserved vulnerable populations (e.g. rural, under-insured, minority) are encouraged to apply. Preferred prior experience can include: Methodologic expertise in areas such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, translational bioinformatics (e.g., integrating EHR/omics data), causal inference approaches, and precision medicine approaches. Experience in an academic medical center setting with a working understanding of the clinical, educational, and research missions. Experience working with clinical research data. Experience working with high-throughput multi-omics data. Experience working with clinical image data (MRI, fMRI, MEG, CT, etc.). Expertise in the use, and linking, of various sources of health data including the electronic medical record, administrative/claims data, and/or publicly available datasets. Practical experience in the design, development, adoption, and application of health IT in a variety of clinical and research environments. Track record of accomplishments in biomedical and/or clinical informatics, with corresponding accomplishments in scholarship and peer-reviewed recognition. Experience and expertise in regulatory aspects of clinical research informatics. Record of leadership, project management, and collaboration including the ability to work effectively with administrators, faculty, staff, residents/fellows, and students. Commitment to advancing a culture and climate of diversity and inclusion and serving a diverse population.
