Job Title: HVAC Lab Technician – 2nd Shift
Location: Charlotte, NC 28269
Duration: 6–7 Months
Pay: $26.30/hr (W2)
Schedule: Mon–Fri | 2nd Shift
Job Summary:
Supports lab operations for production and development teams by setting up/calibrating test equipment, executing test procedures, recording data, and managing supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set up and tear down water-cooled chillers for engineering tests
• Connect and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems
• Operate, inspect, and maintain test setups and lab equipment
• Work with 460-3-60 machinery and medium voltage power supplies
• Use LO/TO procedures and understand Arc Flash safety (preferred)
• Handle tools, HVAC systems, VFDs, pumps, boilers, and refrigerants
• Assist with instrumentation setup, pressure/temperature/electrical measurements
• Follow safety and technical procedures under moderate supervision
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years experience with hand/pneumatic tools
• Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills
• Able to lift/move up to 35 lbs
• Comfortable with equipment setup and teardown
Preferred Qualifications:
• HVAC or commercial equipment experience
• Skilled in reading schematics/blueprints
• Familiar with instrumentation calibration
• Forklift or crane operation experience
• Strong PC skills
Education:
• High School Diploma or GED required
